Unmanaged Solution Roll back

Hi Community,

If we revamp Solution components (Canvas App, Flow and Tables) in the current unmanaged solution (v1.0.0.50) and reach a version of v1.0.0.100 after many exports to QA environment for the solution test, can we roll back to v1.0.0.50 again with the aforementioned solution components reverted to how they were in v1.0.0.50?

If the revamp is not successful, I should be able to undo the changes and continue to work on the existing solution

Regards,
Koundinya

    Unmanaged Solution Roll back
    Hi Jhonatan,

    Thank you for your reply.

In my scenario, I cannot go with first suggestion as I have my colleagues' solutions in the environment.

In the second suggestion, if I delete the unmanaged solution, I believe the components in the solution remain undeleted. In such case, do we need to delete all those components individually before importing the v1.0.0.50 zip file and upload the data into imported tables?

    Regards,
    Koundinya

    Unmanaged Solution Roll back

    Hi there!

Solutions don’t really have a versioning functionality like apps or flows. If you want to roll back to how components were in version v1.0.0.50, you have two options:

    1. Rollback the entire environment: Roll back the whole environment to the date when you had that version. This will roll back the entire environment and all existing solutions within it. You can find more information at this link.

    2. Use a ZIP file: If you have a ZIP file with your unmanaged solution version v1.0.0.50, you can delete the current version and import the old one.

If this helps, please mark it as the solution by clicking "Accept as solution." A "Like" would be greatly appreciated if you found the content helpful. Thanks!
