Using a "choice" (non table related) in an app

The question seems simple but i asked it here before without an answer.

I make a choice (directly in choices not in a table column).

I want to use it in my powerapp.

A table I add or refresh in "data" (left icons)

But how do i introduce a "choice"in my app?

    Hi @HansHeintz ,

    Make the Items of the drop-down / combo box

    ["Choice1","Choice2","Choice3","Choice4"]

    Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

    I don't know if we understand each other correctly.

    Your instant table is a table of strings which is unrelated to a choice made in choices (in the powerapps start screen).

    I cannot use items with

    [
     [@VerklaringType].vtBinnenkomst
     ,[@VerklaringType].vtEuthanasie
    ]

    Like with an options set from a table.
    I am getting the feeling I have to use my "choices" in a table in order for Powerapps to be aware of it.

    @HansHeintz ,

    You are using Dataverse ? When you posted

    I make a choice (directly in choices not in a table column)

    I assumed you wanted to specify the choices manually - what is it you cannot do ?

    In the new powerapps home screen ir says to the left

    Home
    Create
    Learn
    Apps

    Tables
    Choices

    I make a choice under choices and want to use it in code. Not in a table, not in a control, just a way to use option sets to make the code more readable, used to do this a lot in Delphi.
    I now found out such an option can only be used in code if it is being used as choices for a choices field in a table.
    If I add such a field the choice can be used. If I delete the field the errors return.

    @HansHeintz ,

    I am glad you solved it as I still do not really understand either your question or the answer posted.

    You can make a table

    in that table you can make a field

    the field type can be choice

    then you can enter all different choices

    but you can also make a choice on its own

    The option to edit and add choices is directly available in the powerapps home screen

    if you want to use a choice you thus made in your powerapp you cannot

    until you use the choice for a choice field of a table your powerapp is using
