Collection Variable Error in Default and Update Properties

Hello,

FormMode.New

I was able to find a couple different resources to help me create a multiselect checkbox solution using a blank vertical gallery.
When watching and following along with both these resources I receive an error when using my collection variable in the Default and Update properties of the DataCard.

The error is Expected Record Value.
What did I miss?

Thank you.

    Hi

The Datacard doesn't use Collections as a Default

So you would have to do something like

    First(ColTypesOfNewMoneyReq1);

Or Last, or do a lookup on a specific Record.

Thats why you are getting Expected Record Value, it wants ONE of the entries in your collection, not ALL at once.
Even if there is only 1 record, doesn't matter, then use First to use that one.

    I found the issue.

I originally created the column in SharePoint as an OPTION field.
I went back in and set the field to Multi Select checkbox.
But that in of itself did not fix the issue as I had to go into the form and delete the Data Card, refresh the Datasource, save the form, refresh the application and then re add the form field. Then it worked.

    Yes,

You did exactly what I said. You stopped passing a Collection to a Record. That issue you posted, the answer was what I said.

You were passing a Collection instead of a single record.
