Lookup site column sharepoint

Hi,

I have a list in parent sharepoint site and made lookup site column from that list. It is used in subsite's list. I get an error trying to add subsite's list to my app: The requested operation is invadid. Lookup list is in other webpage.

Regards,

Gintaras S.

    Hi Gintaras S,

In the same Site Collection, I create a lookup Site Column which get information from a list that is available in a parent site. Then I create an App from data with SharePoint using the custom list in the subsite, but when the App is set up, I get the same error message with you:

    subsite.PNG

It seems that a lookup column on a subsite that looks up data that comes from a list of parent site is currently not supported. About this issue, you could submit an idea at PowerApps Ideas Forum, so it might be taken consideration for future releases:

    Hi MabelMao,

lists are in diferent sites for security reason (all emploees can access list1 but some of them can access aditional data in list2). Is it possible to make such a functionality in other way, compatible with PowerrApps?

    Regards,

    Gintaras S.

    Hi Mable,

Any positive responsive for lookup column in the parent site?

Or do we need to go for any other alternative solutions/ work around?
