App suddenly saying fields from SharePoint data source do not exist

Hello,

I have had an app up and running for months now. This morning I logged in to make some changes and powerapps is reporting that a bunch of the fields do no exist in the data source anymore.

I checked our SharePoint list and the fields are still there. I have removed the data source from the app and added it once again. I removed the field from the form and tried to add it back again, but it does not come up as a selection in the fields pane.

The published app appears to be working correctly, but I am affraid if I publish an update it will break the app.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior today, or experienced it in the past?

This appears to have been fixed. This response was posted in another post a few minutes ago by a staff member:

"The fix for missing items in ComboBox drop-downs has been deployed to all production regions with Studio release 3.19101.  You will need to edit and re-publish your app(s) for the changes to take effect."

I spoke too soon. The issue is back, and repeating the process for the previous solution does not fix the issue.

    Hi @cdubinsky ,

Could you please share a bit more about your issue?

Do you mean that the "Fields does not exist" error come back again?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please consider re-store your app back to previous version, then publish your app, check if the issue is solved.

More details about restoring app to previous version, please check the following article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/restore-an-app

In addition, you could also consider edit your app using previous version of PowerApps Studio as below:

    https://create.powerapps.com/v3.19054.15.115879415/studio/#`

then publish your app, check if the issue is fixed.

If the issue still exists, please consider re-generate a new app based on your SP List data source, then check if the issue still exists.

    Best regards,

By the "fields do not exist" I mean that PowerApps does not show the fields as available to add from the data source, as if they do not exist on SharePoint.

I tried restoring the app to a previous version which showed an earlier PowerApps release version; This did not fix the issue.

I tried editing the app (both before and after restoring to a previous version) with the previous version of PowerApps, but it just gave me error saying the app could not be edited with that version of PowerApps.

I generated a new app and connected it to our SharePoint data source, but the fields do not show up in a new app either.

    Hi @cdubinsky ,

Do you mean that the available fields added in your SP List could not show up within your Edit form?

Could you please share a screenshot about this issue?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please consider go to your Edit form, select the Edit form, then click "Edit fields" option, then click "Add Field" option, check if the available fields from your SP list show up there:1.JPG

If you want to enable the fields from the Fields list within your Edit form, please select the fields, then click "Add" button, then these fields would be added in your Edit form.

    Best regards,
