Copilot in Sales - Won't summarize lead

Has anyone run into an issue where Copilot won't summarize Leads? It was working fine for awhile. When I first navigate to the Lead, it pops open Copilot on the right panel and it automatically summarizes the lead but I can't ask it to summarize the lead otherwise I get "Couldn't find any lead assigned to you.". It works fine for Accounts.

Hello,

have you tried to prompt it such as: Summarize current lead? Or something like that? It seems that it performs a search on Dataverse table to find all leads assigned to you, instead of summarizing the content. I assume that it works at first, because the prompt is being sent automatically with the information about the current Dataverse row.

Nevertheless, it sounds like a bug.

Hello,

then it sounds like a bug. I'd suggest you to raise a ticket to MS. I'm not sure though where to do it - maybe you'd need to use some internal options available in your company tenant. I didn't find any options.

I created a Lead for myself and now when I say Summarize lead, it summarizes the Lead that is assigned to me and not the Lead that I'm currently on. Very strange as this was working fine initially!

I'm opening a Microsoft ticket and will post any updates here.

After meeting with Microsoft Support, we came to the conclusion that Copilot won't summarize the current record. When you first navigate to a Lead, Opportunity or Account then Copilot will automatically summarize the record but that's it. You can also summarize a specific record by name like 'Summarize Lead "ABC"'.
