Cannot import data

Am I the only one battling to import data?

If I click Import > Import data from Excel, I immediately get this error message: The file could not be uploaded for [table name]: failed to upload. This happens for workbook and csv.

If I click Import > Import Data, nothing happens.

These are not new tables, I have been using them for a while, with the same import template, without problem. No changes have been made since the previous import.

Any idea on what to do?

@hildasteyn, As a best practice and it seems to always work for me without any issues, use Dataflows to import Excel data into Dataverse tables. That is why I created this full tutorial : https://powerplatformplace.com/f/excel-to-dataverse-migration---part-1?blogcategory=Dataverse

    Hi @hildasteyn ,

I have imported from Excel "MANY" times in past projects and I 99% of the time utilize the data import templates for the entity (dataverse table) and export this template from Dataverse.   If you go into admin.powerplatform.com and get into the templates you will see templates for the table:

You will be able to select the data import templates and select your table and then import the data.   I have done this MANY times across multiple projects to import data and of course you need to manage the relationships as you import data but it works very well.  There are plenty of other options but this has worked for me personally!

This issue is due to my environment being in South Africa.

I logged a ticket with MS and they are investigating.
