Dear Community

I will need your support to build up a power app with one page

App features:

Users can submit the following information

  • Product ID: formatted as numerical values
  • Product Origin: as a drop down
  • Delivery place: as a drop down
  • Date: formatted as date

  • For the “Product Origin” and “Delivery Place” information: I have an excecl list with all available locations that I would like to connect to this drop down
  • Once these information are submitted, it will be written in the SharePoint list (named: “product info”)

Can you please support how to create this app as I am still a beginner 😊

Screenshots can also be helpful

Thank you  in advance

Kind regards

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    In no particular order 😀

    • "For the “Product Origin” and “Delivery Place” information: I have an excel list with all available locations that I would like to connect to this drop down" - Two options here: 1st - get these two formatted as tables in Excel, and you can import this file as data source... 2nd - even better 😉 get Product Origin and Delivery place, as your "product info" SharePoint list choice column (Single source of truth always better...)
    • For the rest, it is up to you - use a form for data input, or make your own input fields with a Submit button with Patch function...

Let me know if you need further support

    Hi @VaidasG

For delivery place and product origin, it is the same excel file with one column as a source

    thanks and regards

    @Anonymous ,

As mentioned, if you choose to go with Excel file, make sure you format your data as tables. During static data import from file, as per screenshot, you will be asked to choose tables where your data is located.

p.s. I still recommend to go with SharePoint list Choice columns

    Dear @v-zhoqian-msft

As per your screenshot the dropdown are connected to the sharepoint list. Is that correct?

How does it show the information on the excel sheet though

Thank you to clarify as I was a bit confused how they are connected 🙂
