Hi guys
i want to create entity and the error in the image below shows up
You are missing the necessary privilege to create entities in this environment.
Kindly help with this
Hi @DMI_007,
What security role do you have assigned in the CDS environment? By default, only System Administrator and Customizers have access to create entities. If you're not the administrator of your tenant/environment, I would suggest to get in touch with them to get the proper roles assigned. Cheers
Hi @EricRegnier
Thanks for your reply
Where and how will the roles be assigned? is there documentation on this?
Roles can be assigned in the manage user page. You can access it from make.powerapps.com, click the gear icon on the top right --> Advanced Settings --> Security --> Users --> select the user (or open its record) --> Managed roles
You can also access the manage user page from admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com as described in the link below.

Hi @DMI_007 ,
Yes, please make sure that the security role assigned to you has Create privilege on 'Entity' shown as follow.
Hope this helps,
Sik
Hi @v-siky-msft
I check this also and i have it assigned to me but still, i got the error message
Please check this doc: Minimum privileges for common tasks, you may lack the Minimum privileges.
How about elevating to the System Administrator role?
@DMI_007 if you are not sure about security role creation with minimum privilesges - you can always make use of Common Data Service User Security. Make a copy of CDS User Security Role and remove not required privileges on OOB entities and provide required level of privileges on respective Custom Entities, this way you need not to worry about min privileges required.
Just to add that it is not sufficient to just have privileges on the Entity (as per an earlier post). When you create an Entity, the system will also create Fields, Views and Relationships. The simplest solution is have your user either added to the OOB System Customizer role, or to copy the OOB System Customizer role to a new role, and use that
