Solution with many flows and apps - where are env variables used

Hello power Users,

just a quick yes or no or how it can be done probably, however I have a solution which has about 30 flows and 6 apps, and I am using environment variables throughout. I was wondering if there was a way of being able to see which environment variables are used in which flows in an easy way, as after editing some of env variables/ removing some, I now cannot import the solution as it still thinks there is a previously deleted variable in the solution. It definitely isn't in the solution as I cannot see it and deleted it a while back, which must mean it is referenced in a flow or app somewhere. Therefore, is there a better way to see which flow or app is causing the issue easily without going through every action in every flow as this would take forever.

Thank you for your help.

@TimBarnes07 If the solution with the environment variable in it exists in an environment, you should be able to open it in the Solution Explorer, navigate to the Environment Variable, click the associated ellipses and click on the Show Dependencies option in the context menu. That will list all components that have dependencies on that Environment Variable, including Cloud Flows.

Failing that, you can export the solution extract it and run a search of the set of extracted files using the Environment variable name in question.

What's the exact solution import fail error. That might shed more light on the root cause.

    Hi @TimBarnes07

You can search for environment variables through the advanced search and there you will have all the variables listed and you can edit the value or delete it.

Now, to use this method, the ideal is that in the description field you put which flow the environment variable refers to and under that concept you can manage it better.

One option is to add the environment variables table in your applications in a configuration area if you have one.

That's the thing @parvezghumra, it does not show up in the lists in the solution, and getting the following error on the import process AFTER defining the environment variables seen by Power Platform. I have checked the dependencies of every element in the solution and none have the non-existent variable referenced. In addition I have also delved into the xml files and searched for the environment variable value and no luck.

It's like a bug within power platform where a previously deleted variable has stuck to the solution even though it isn't showing.
