I'm trying to run a desktop flow with Power Automate as the desktop version is limited in terms of schedule running.
So, I have Premium Power Platform licenses and even so, I can't even run a simple flow that requires a desktop flow.
My local machine is connected and on and I'm logged in, so what am I missing here?
There is no proper tutorials and is very frustrating to spend hours and hours for something that supposed to be straight forward.
Any help is appreciated.
Kind regards,
Fernand Silva

Actually the Power automate desktop app is automatically installing without giving runtime option to select. Also, I am not able to add machine in the Power automate.
Hi Deenuji,
Thank you for your feedback and details.
I followed the steps and now it's working.
Thank you,

Hi @fernandosilva,
Have you registered your machine with Power Automate Desktop yet? If not, please follow the steps below:
Manage machines - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn
If you have already completed the registration, then first verify whether your machine is showing as connected in the Power Automate cloud portal, as shown below.
Once the machine tab confirms that your machine is connected, proceed to add a desktop flow action in your cloud flow. Click on the three dots (...) in the action's top right corner and select "New connection." Fill in the required information.
In the machine/machine group dropdown list, select your registered and connected machine, and mention your username with the domain name(You can find this information by using the command prompt and typing "whoami" to get your username). Enter the same username with the domain in the connection panel along with your Windows password.
Finally you can pick your desktop flow and mode of run in the below window:
Hope this helps!!

Hi @Nived_Nambiar ,
This is the first time that I'm trying to use this connectors and there is no way that I can make it to work.
If I try to add from the connections tab "Connections" , the flows don't com up to choose each one to connect.
My machine is connected.
No idea what is going on here.
Cheers,
Fernando
