unknown network error

I am trying to patch to a MSSQL DB and I am getting a unknow network error. So I decided to create a very simple app nothing more than patching 2 values to try and find the issue still same problem. When I initially setup everything a couple months ago I was able to patch fine. I am using the Microsoft gateway software setup on my SQL if that matters. If anyone has any ideas please share since I am unable to use it.

The gateway connection user must have write access to the database.

My issue appears to of been the way I was passing the GUID variable. Even though the variable was created with GUID() the patch also had wrap it in the GUID(variable). I have had other issues at other times that give the network error that to a lot longer to figure out then if they just gave you a more in depth error. They have some error messages that help but when they just give a network error makes it really hard to figure it out. Hopefully they can find a solution for that in the future.

I have found out that if you click to the right of the item you are trying to patch in the code the value it will be patching will be showed below it. I have found most of the time there is some blank value it is reading and that is where the issues usually are.
