Filter form to display items from another SharePoint list

Hi, I have 2 lists - Employee and Approval Type. The Employee list has the employee information and the Approval Type has who are the approvers for the employees. I'm trying to achieve that when I click one item in the Employee list, the item will display just like the picture below on the right side but the additional info that is the Approvers that comes from the Approval Type list. It is said that it can be achieved by integrating the form with Power Apps in the Employee list but I'm kinda lost on how to do it. Can anyone please help me?

    Hi @syhrh ,

    I assume you have constructed an integrated Power Apps form before ? Just put a gallery on the bottom with the Items

    Filter(
     'Approval Type',
     Title = SharePointIntegration.Selected.'Approval Type'
    )

    although I advise not having a field name in one list the same as the List name of another.

    Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

    @WarrenBelz I have constructed the integration before but only simple things to change on the form. I tried your formula but received error.

    @syhrh ,

    That is probably because you are dealing with multi-choice columns (which was not what you posted with Title being the linked field). You cannot compare these types in a filter.

    @WarrenBelz Both columns Approver Level 1 and Approver Level 2 are people columns. I tried Title also has error.

    @syhrh ,

    You need to link on the two columns that match (have the same value) - in your post, that was Title and 'Approval Type'. If 'Approval Type' is a Choice column, you need

    Filter(
     'Approval Type',
     Title = SharePointIntegration.Selected.'Approval Type'.Value
    )

    Please take a moment to understand this concept as you will need it for any gallery.

    @WarrenBelz

    I input the formula but nothing displays. Will the filter be working if I edit the Approval Type list? Or will it stop it from displaying?

    @syhrh ,

    It will display any records from 'Approval Type' where the Title in 'Approval Type' matches the 'Approval Type' in the Employee record selected, but again it is not good having those two (List and Field Name) named the same.

    @WarrenBelz I took your advise and change my list name and it works. But how to make it look align with the display all the other items?

    anonymous21_0-1655871819782.png

    when I click the item, there's a gap that is noticeable and I don't want that.

    But when I edit it, the gap disappears. I know that because I put the gallery below the edit form function then it follows that one. But how to edit the one that displays the item?

    @syhrh ,

    That is all in the design of the Power App - you just need to adjust the height of the carda and controls

    @WarrenBelz I cannot adjust the gallery so I use a different way of displaying the items. I add 2 new fields to the SharePoint form as it won't have any gaps. But I face some issues.

    I tried to filter the list but the error says it only expects Text value. So does this mean I cannot use the filter or is the property in the wrong place?
