Can someone please advise on how can I establish a connection with an Azure SQL DB in private end point from Power Apps? When I try to connect, it's throwing an error

Any guidance would be appreciated

I am not an SQL user (responding only as you tagged me), - the below is from some research I did, so I hope it is useful ( 3 options)

    Use an On-Premises Data Gateway
    • Deploy an On-Premises Data Gateway in:
      • An Azure VM inside the same VNet as your SQL Database, or
      • Your on-premises network (if it has VNet connectivity via VPN or ExpressRoute).
    • Configure the Gateway:
      • Install the gateway on the VM.
      • Sign in with your Power Platform admin account.
      • Ensure outbound internet access is allowed from that VM (port 443).
    • In Power Apps:
      • Create a new SQL connection.
      • Choose “Connect via On-premises data gateway”.
      • Select the gateway you installed.
      • Enter SQL server name (private endpoint name, e.g. mydb.privatelink.database.windows.net), database name, and credentials.

Allow Public Network Access (if acceptable)
If security policy allows, you could temporarily enable Public network access on your Azure SQL Database, then restrict it with:
    • A firewall rule allowing only Power Platform IP ranges (published by Microsoft).
    • Or use Azure AD authentication for enhanced security.

Use VNet Data Gateway (for Managed Environments)
If you’re in a Power Platform Managed Environment, you can use the VNet data gateway (preview/GA) feature:
    • It’s managed by Microsoft.
    • It connects Power Apps directly to resources in your Azure VNet without a self-hosted gateway.
    • Requires setup in Azure and Power Platform admin center.
