Entity List not taking entity permissions into account (for entitlement entity)

Hello,

I have no Entity Permission defined on the Entitlement entity.

I create 2 entity lists to display Entitlements on a Portal:

  • One with

"Enable Entity Permissions" set to Yes
  • The other with "Enable Entity Permissions" set to No

I add the 2 entity lists on a Web Page and here's the result:

Entity List - permissions not applied.png

I'm on a trial environment with no other customization done.

It seems like a bug with the Entitlement entity.

Do you notice the same behavior or am I missing something?

I would expect the Entity List at the bottom to be empty or to show a Access Denied message.

Thanks for your help!

    Good to know 🙂

I actually did open a MS Ticket already but wanted to make sure the community experienced the same issue.

    Thanks for confirming!

Just making sure, did you already do the following to:

    1. Create the entity relationship to Contact/Account for the Entitlement entity?
    2. Create the entity permission
    3. Create the web role and assign it to the entity permission
    4. Assign the user to the web role?

    Hello,

Yes I did it and same result: it is not taken into account by the Entity List.

I also did a check with FetchXML and it DOES take my entity permissions into account.

(my contact has Northwind Traders as Account and has a web role that only gives read access to the account entitlements)

    Waiting for MS support feedback.

    Best,
