SubmitForm method not working

Hi all.

I noticed an issue today with our Power App Form that I've seen others mention as well.

The form is super basic, has data cards with text inputs and a button that run SubmitForm(Form). This has been working for the past few months but today it has begun not writing some of the inputs.

In my attached screenshot, someone tried updating 1 field at a time multiple times. (The form has an onsuccess that triggers a flow and updates the item for specific cases so ignore every other version that is blank). As you can see only some of the edits went through but versions 28 and 30 had changes but got ignored. They tried updating Bio 3 different times, but only the final time went through. You can see that it is submitting the form, just not actually updating the inputs.

Everybody using the app is currently having this issue, which again, has been working perfectly with no changes for the last 4+ months. It's not erroring out and failing to submit the form, it just only submits what it wants when it wants. I have tried changing all fields and maybe 80% go through and sometimes only a couple of them go through.

I appreciate any help. Thanks :)

    hey ;)

can you share your code you are using for the submission of the entries, is it simply SubmitForm(FormName)?

have u been checking if all users have the right permissions to the list?

Can you please give us more details about that form?

Where do you store data, SharePoint list or Dataverse table, Exel file.. ?
Where there any changes in that location, adding new column, changing non required to required ?

    Hi, me again.

I figured it out. The update to power apps adding the Trigger Output property sets default to Focus Out, which is super cool that there's no information about these updates and things just fundamentally change.

For some reason, this was causing some of the text inputs (which are modern controls) to just not save the input. Seems to be a bug with modern controls and that focus out property, as it's not doing basic things focus out should do like with classic controls. Changing the property to Key Press seems to have fixed this.

    Thanks for help
