Hi Experts,
We have a custom solution we have been promoting to test and production environments and following a managed solution approach. We have been promoting these solutions with users that have Dynamics 365 Administrator role but want to be able to remove these users from the environment and in general service account.
Now the question. If we have this service account and we really want this to be the owner of all workflows, flows, etc. and promote using this service account through the environments, what if we don't want this service account to be an account that users can log into (i.e. non-interactive user)? I am assuming ALM tools will work in this situation to promote the solutions with this non-interactive user. Anyone know of issues with this or is it a recommended approach?
Thanks much!
Drew
Hi @dpoggemann,
An Application User (service principal) would be the way to go as it is just an application registration in Azure AD. Users cannot interactively login to Dataverse using this type of user.
