Modern Date Picker control's Format property is not working

I entered the format 'dd.mm.yyyy,' but it didn't work. Is there another property I should check?

    Modern Date Picker control's Format property is not working
    Hi,
     
    Modern Date Picker is currently limited to three (3) formats: Short, LongAbbreviated, and MonthYear. You can switch back to classic date picker to be able to implement your preferred date format.
