Creating a phonebook within PVA

Hello there,

I wondered if anyone has had any success with using PVA to provide contact telephone numbers. I've had some success with creating entities of the relevant department/supplier names & then using questions within PVA to ask which department is required & then listing the number within a message response, this works well as there was only 10 or so telephone numbers needing to be provided.

However, I'm now looking to do something more extensive with a list of c100 department/supplier phone numbers. Would a Sharepoint list look up using an automate flow work better? Or any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Yes I see. You could use contains. Then pass the result back to the chatbot, ask the user if that is what they meant and then store their search criteria in a separate column. You could then search both the name of the department and the search term to bring back better results.

    Thank you @Monkeyman

I don't believe there's a way to create synonyms within SharePoint lists so we'd be relying on the user to correctly name the relevant department to then obtain the telephone number.
For the condition in within Automate, do you think there is an option which would provide greater success for variations in user messages? E.g will contain work best or starts with?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, you could achieve this with a Sharepoint list. Or you could provision a Dataverse environment, and then use Power Automate to connect to Dataverse and search that to bring back what you need.

Please mark this as accepted if you agree with the solution.

    Thanks.
