Hello, i develop a bot in teams (pva) type bot chat ( classic), now i want to use the new version copilot, but the option to update is disable and i can convert to the new .
If the is not a solution for this ,how can i import all the information in a new bot?
Hi @Diegoaapm94 ,
From which country are you accessing the tool?
Cheers,
Fernando
Hi @fernandosilva , from México
If your environment is set up with US region, you should have access to all features. Otherwise, Microsoft released the new features for a bunch of other countries on the 15/11/23 where you can't find anywhere and no one knows which countries are apart of nothing is working properly atm.
So, try to change the region to US and the features will come up.
Was this created with PVA for Teams?
Hi @HenryJammes ,
This is the what the author of the thread posted:
"Hello, i develop a bot in teams (pva) type bot chat ( classic), now i want to use the new version copilot, but the option to update is disable and i can convert to the new ."
I see - then the best is to upgrade to the full premium version of Copilot Studio:
Get access to Microsoft Copilot Studio - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
And then to convert the bot content in the new version:
Unified authoring canvas migration guidance - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
sorry is from France
Is there a way to convert the Chatbot (classic) to Copilot version without creating a new one, because the Chatbot (classic) is already live and in use, it would affect a lot of users. Thanks
Hi @JLKM, as of now there is no way to do an in-place upgrade, so migrating a bot to the latest version will create a new bot, with a new bot ID. If you've deployed to Teams, by deploying with a Teams manifest, you should be able to update the Teams app so it points to your new bot.
I was able to do it by keeping the Teams app id in the manifest, but updating the version and botId to the new one.
I updated the app to the new version in the Teams admin center.
End-users were prompted in Teams to update the app in order to continue using the bot.
This resulted in an in-place update of the Teams app (but in my case this created a new chat).

Hi @HenryJammes
Many thanks for your advice. I will have to try this out in the trial environment before implementing it. Thanks again.
