Hello, I completed the Get started with Power Apps module in Microsoft Learn and I had the following issue.
I created my Power App from the "FlooringEstimates" file provided in the module (https://az787822.vo.msecnd.net/documentation/get-started-from-data/FlooringEstimates.xlsx). The file contains prices such as $8.10. However when I view it in Power Apps, all numbers are multiplied by 10. $8.10 becomes $81. Am I the only who's experiencing this?
@maudlv could you attach a screenshot of the Excel file instead of the file itself? I'm not too keen on downloading an excel file and maybe others aren't either. Could you also show the formula you are using to get the $81 output as this would be helpful.
Thank you for your reply Eelman. The file link is the one displayed on the Microsoft Learn module https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/get-started-with-powerapps/5-powerapps-create-first. I am sending screenshots.
To create the app I followed to tutorial from the MS Learn module and went to Power Apps > Apps, New App, Canvas, and I created an app from a file located in OneDrive.
When I selected the Excel file, the the app was automatically generated. I have not made any change to the app.
@maudlv I've just tried building this app via the instructions and my amounts are correct (see pic1) so I'm not sure what's happening.
It's possible that your currency settings are playing a part but I'm not sure where/how to check or adjust these. You could also check that the DataCardValue5.Text property is set to Parent.Default (see pic2) and doesn't have a x10 multiplication set on it.
Other than these ideas maybe just try again from scratch, it could just be a hiccup?
