Hi all,

Can PowerApps read a certain web page like J&T delivery tracking, then as we input the tracking number inside our own PowerApps, it will shows the package track ?

Thanks,

    @Voltes ,

It is not a matter of Power Apps reading the page, but if the web tracker site supports opening with parameters you could launch

    Launch("https://www.yourtrackingwebsite.com?trackno=" & YourTrackingNo)

so you really need to talk to the tracking company to see if this is supported.

    O yeah, not realized that.

We can just use Launch to the correct address, with add our parameter.

One other thing, if we then able to load / launch it. Can we / Power Apps just get the important raw data, things like Power BI can do, get the raw table of a website.

Since what we need is only that, then in PowerApps we create own style of delivery track. Reason being is only if we just load their website, it can be full of unnecessary information, like below:

If we can just viewing some part of the 'vendor window' in Power Apps, that will be superb, but I believe this is impossible.

    Thanks,

    Hi @Voltes ,'

No unfortunately - the Launch function simply opens a URL in a browser - there is no "talking back" to Power Apps.

You could do a 2 step process.  For example if you use Azure SQL you could create a program in something like Python that uses Selenium to extract data from website on a regular interval for a specified tracking number and load it to DB.  The PowerApp could then directly read data from DB.   You may be able to use an Azure Function app to do this.  I do something similar to this but I'm not using PowerApps.

    Hi @mogulman52 ,

Any reference on how to that with Python and Selenium stuff ?

Seems to me like a cool stuff, but confuse me now.

    Thanks,

Before you go that route most delivery services offer APIs you can use to track packages.  Like UPS.

There are numerous books and Youtube videos on Selenium and Python.  Udemy offer courses on Selenium and Python.  Udemy run sales all time and you can get them for less than $15.  Just use Google and Bing.
