Using PowerApps to add a Planner Task Comment

Ok this is probably very easy for you pros but I'm a rookie.

I have a planner setup.  I created a barcode scanner with a gallery to collect asset numbers that I scan from barcodes.  The barcode numbers populate into the gallery (not a collection) per the barcode multi scan feature.  I have a dropdown that lists only uncompleted tasks for a particular bucket on my planner.  The user selects the appropriate task they want to update with the gallery information.

I want to be able to click that button, attach all that gallery data to the a chosen task (from dropdown) and create a Comment on the task with that gallery data.  Is this possible?

    Hi,

Please use pictures to help us understand what you are saying, it is difficult to visualize and help with just a description. Is this in teams is it a canvas app is it a Model Driven app (I am assuming canvas), but is it a true app or a SharePoint form?

What gallery data, please share what it is, the answer isn't simply yes or no as you may have data or columns that would be a no too.

As for can you take string data and add it to a Planner Task, yes, which is the question you asked.

But to answer more specifically how, you have to use the Graph APi for Groups. The comments are just a group/conversation/thread that is happening to that Plan and specific task. each task has its own thread

Sorry about that.   Here are some screen shots of what is going on.  This is very vanilla because I am going for functionality first.

The barcode button is on multi scan, the scans populate into a gallery (not a collection), then the appropriate Planner task is selected from the drop down list.  At the end of it, the user clicks the button and I want the scans in the gallery to be inserted into a new comment on that chosen planner task.  It needs to be a comment and not the description; which is all I have been able to accomplish thus far. Screen shots below....
