Hi everyone,

I’m facing a problem regarding PVA timeout. Bot will display the following message if user has not interact with bot for a while:

I would like to know the time interval that triggers the message.

    Hello @Anonymous

What do you mean by timeout? Are you referring to the “session” the bot is with the user?

session ends for one of the following reasons:

    • The user ends the chat session. When the bot doesn't receive a new message for more than 30 minutes, the session is considered closed.

    • The session is longer than 60 minutes. The first message that occurs after 60 minutes starts a new session.

    • The session has more than 100 turns. A turn is defined as one exchange between a user and the bot. The one-hundred-and-first turn starts a new session.

    Thanks!

@Jcook thanks for the suggestions above.

I dont seem to have seen anywhere this is documented.Could share share

I would like the bot to begin a new session if the user has not interacted with the bot for X minutes and automatically start the greetings topic or start over.

    Will appreciate your help.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jcook,

can I handle this in my PVA using some default function?

Or maybe I can handle this calling a flow which output to myVar the beginning datetime of the conversation and I should check if it's been 30 or 60 minutes since the last message 🤔
