SortByColumns stopped working with new authoring version

I have a SortByColumns that has worked fine up until switching to authoring version 3.23023.11

It now errors with:

Or (as historically I've not included the "SortOrder." - this seems to have rolled out with latest version :

Rolling back to 3.23022.21 and removing the 'SortOrder.' seems to resolves the issue, but have concerns it will become a permanent problem when 3.23022.21 is no longer available.

Hey, I see you have "grpGUID=AssessQuest.AssGrpID, SortOrder" a bit further up in your code-  have you by chance created a variable called SortOrder? Normally this wouldn't be an issue as the IDE will pick up that you meant the variable not the protected value called 'SortOrder', but I can confirm that using 3.23023.11 it breaks existing Sort functions due to it no longer picking up Ascending/Descending as implied usage of SortOrder.Ascending (which if you select/highlight Ascending in old versions you'll see it expands to SortOrder.Ascending.

Will raise with the Power Apps team through a support channel and hopefully they will resolve before that version rolls out.

Thanks @iAm_ManCat - I did wonder if it was something like this that had caused the issue.

As you say - hopefully can be resolved before making it into a rolled out version

Heya! Got word back about this - Apparently this is a feature going forward, where all enums are now required to be typed explicitly with qualifiers

You can find the info in the version notes for 3.23022 here:

    Cheers!

This was news to me too, so will have to get used to fully typing them all out 😶

Hope you have a good weekend!

    Cheers,
