Solution import hanging

I'm importing a solution from a dev environment to a test environment - this is the 10th time I've done this, previously all successful. The process which normally takes around 3-4 minutes is just stalling, and hasn't moved for around an hour.

Does anyone know why this might be occurring, and if I can cancel this import to start again?

OK, it looks like it's failed as it can't find an environment variable which I've deleted from both dev and test

How can I make it import my solution?

I have seen similar behaviour in the past. Check solution history for an error.

In my experience the error is displayed but on occasion there is no update on the solution import, and the importing solution message still displays on the Solutions page

It's because it looks like it's looking for an environment variable I've removed from both dev and test manually.

Is there any way to make it import my solution? (they're both unmanaged)

To clarify, is the EV showing as a dependent component? If so you'd need to add it back in, you could exclude the current value though

If it's not the above, can you share the error displayed?
