How to disable formula editor suggestions/tooltips

Does anyone know how to disable the popup editor suggestions/tooltips? Either permanently or at least via the keyboard.

This is so annoying, especially when it suggests values that you can input, because you lose the ability to use Tab or Enter (it will select the suggestions instead of Tabbing or going to a newline).
The suggestions/tooltips also completely obscure chunks of code that I'm working on, forcing me to escape them so I can see what I'm doing.
I've tried pressing Esc, which does close the suggestions, but it also takes me out of the formula editor, forcing me to click back in the editor to resume typing.

Having to deal with this for every single line I type is slowing me down drastically;
How anyone at MS thought this was acceptable is beyond me.

     I think that is not possible to disable that. But if you press "esc" will ignore.

    Unfortunately, this is the new FormulaFx editor, and as you can see by the post from @mmbr1606, the option to go back is soon leaving.

    The pop up listbox that automatically selects items in it after you press a special character like '(', ',', etc. causes the annoying listbox of possible words to come up.. and that annoying "information" (useless) window.

    Whoever designed those popups obviously doesn't use a keyboard to type and move about in an editor. The stupid list box and "information" pop-up hijack the arrow keys, and enter key.

    I have delt with it, though because it lets the editor window size to the whole browser window height... I find myself hitting escape and enter a lot in succession to make those popups disappear because I really want to like the new editor... it just sucks.

    For now, all you can do is what @mmbr1606 suggested... but that option will inevitably disappear.

    The workaround I've been using is to hit the left, then right arrow keys before I hit enter. It leaves the formula info popup, but gets rid of the suggestions and lets me add a new line.
