SharePoint List Custom PowerApp form not displaying

(1) ShareShare

I have built a custom SharePoint list PowerApp. I published the app yet when I go to add a new item to the SharePoint list, the app does not show, I still get the default SP form. I also tried creating an item with Quick Edit and editing the existing item to see if the edit item form would be my PowerApp, but still just the basic default form.

I have gone into the form settings for the list and unable to select the PowerApps form option.

Whenever I select "Customize forms" under the PowerApps dropdown, it takes me to the PowerApps Studio and loads my custom PowerApp for this list.

    Hi @fatjosh35 ,

Have you press "Publish to SharePoint" option after your save your custom form app?

Please make sure you have pressed the "Publish to SharePoint" option after you save your custom form app:

Note: It is a normal behaviour that when you click "Customize forms" option, it would load PowerApps Studio for designing your custom form.

If you are in the Form settings of your SP list, please click "Modify form in PowerApps" option to edit your custom form app, then made some changes to it, then click "Save", then click "Publish to SharePoint", then go to your SP List, check if the custom form works well.

If the issue still exists, please consider remove the custom form from your SP list, then re-add a new one for it, check if the issue is solved.

More details about customizing form in SharePoint list, please check the following article:

Hi Fatjosh35, I got the same issue and finally solved it through the below workaround.  Hope it could be helpful for you.

    Solved it this way:
    1) Activate back the default form (do not select "suppress form" !) + OK.

    2) Switch again to "Custom form" + OK

I'm having the same issue - 'Publish to SharePoint' button when editing the form does nothing.

To resolve it, I had to navigate to my list.  Then I went to List settings > Form settings > See versions and usage.  Finally, I went to 'versions' tab, restored an older version, and then published that restored version.  Finally it took effect, and appeared in SharePoint - super convoluted, I know 🙂

I tried everything on here, and for one of my SharePoint list Power Apps the info here fixed it but for the other it did not. The only other thing I did to fix it on my other App was I added a sample entry using the default form. Then, after a few refreshes, it suddenly showed my customized Power App.

As info, my colleague and I struggle with this from time to time. What we found is that if the other person edits the custom form (actually make some kind of change) and republish it, it works.

Hi. I had the same issue: the form was not showing up and it seems to be a caching issue.

The solution for me was to access the list from an incognito browser page. After that, the new form is loaded in the initial browser page too.
