I need a help to understand how to make an app that can,

  • Display List1
  • Register in List2

My case is a Training Registration List.

The Instructor register the Training.

The Attendant Sign Up for the training.

I created a List2, Attendants List, with Lookup fields for the List1.

I just want to have an app that the Attendant register their name(internal AD ), and select the training based in the List1.

I'm having troubles with it. Please let me know if anyone knows how to do that

    Hi @JJLuiz ,

    Please try to add a combo box control and set its Items property to:

    Choices(your Attendants list Name.Traing Name)

    If you want users to register their names, please create a 'Single line of text' column in Attendants list.

    You could use this formula to get their own name.

    User().FullName // Name
    User().Email // Email

    Then you could use patch() function to add record :

    Patch(Attendants list, Defaults(Attendants list),{Title:"...", your 'Single line of text' column:User().FullName,Training Name:Combo box.Selected})

    Best Regards,

    Thanks for a nice advice.

    I'm trying to work now with the standard template of Power apps but I still have few things missing.

    My List1 is connected to this Gallery and works well:

    That icon button opens the Details Screen and the Attendant can see the List1 displayed.

    My change is with the combo box i put is connected to the List2, that is what I need.

    The Sign up button has to get the training name from List1 and the Attendant name in the combo box and add a line in my Sharepoint List2.

    Do you know if that's possible with  the Patch formula?
