I am looking to integrate Microsoft Project with a Power App. I understand that the existing way to do this, using Microsoft Project for the web, is migrating to Microsoft Planner in August 2025. It sounds like Project Power App will be migrating to Planner Power App based on the announcement from Microsoft here: Transitioning to Microsoft Planner and retiring Microsoft Project for the web | Microsoft Community Hub.
Currently, I can't find Planner Power App documentation as it's not released yet, and the current Project Power App documentation does not work for me (linked here): Get Started with Project Power App - Microsoft Support. Specifically, the purple Project Power App icon described in the guide does not come up when I search for it in my apps. I assume this is because it's being replaced.
I need to start developing the Power App now (July 2025). Is there any way to start setting up Project Power App now, and migrate it to Planner Power App once it rolls out? If so, where can I find updated documentation?
I think you can create a new PowerApps by deprecating the Existing Project related dependencies. Let's wait for others comments too.
