PowerApps form drop down control is going outside the canvas

Hi all. I have build a PowerApp with a form that gets data from a SharePoint list. Nothing fancy here, just OOB solution. However, some of the drop down menus flyout is going outside the canvas, and I cannot find out why. It is just standard controls that is imported from the SharePoint list, but they behave very strange. Please take a look at these pictures. In the bottom of the form the drop down does as intended, the flyout goes up

However, if I choose a drop down control that further up the form the control does like this:

powerappcontrols02.PNGI ahve tried to make the form a little smaller so the user has to scroll, but that does not help. The flyout menu is still going outside the form, and even outside the canvas. I have read an article about a problem with the drop down, and that it should be fixed, but I am not sure this is the same. Has anyone had experiences with this?

Greetings and thanks in advance

/Frank

If you have spaces in your datasource, remove the spaces

Hi @eka24 THX for quick reply 🙂 I do not quite understand you. If you are referring to to choise column in the SharePoint list, there are no spaces. This is what values are in the column.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on the screenshot that you mentioned, I think you have faced a "Cur Off" issue within the Dropdown control or ComboBox in your app.

The user @ChadVKealey has faced similar issue with you, please check my response within the following thread:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/List-of-choices-in-Combo-Box-overflowing-screen/m-p/492953

Please set the PaddingTop property and PaddingBottom property of the ComboBox to following:

    0

to reduce the vertical height of the menu within the ComboBox.

You could also consider move the related Data card (including the ComboBox) to the top order of the Edit form, then all available options could be displayed under the ComboBox.

If the issue still exists, you could also consider create custom Dropdown box based on List Box to fixed your issue. Please check and see if the following solution could help in your scenario:

Hi @v-xida-msft and thx for your reply. I have tried to change the padding top/buttom but with no success. I think I might have to go with the solution about making custom cards. I've been thinking about this solution, but the form is already highly customized, so it will be quite a task to go that pth. But it might be the only way 😕

But thx a lot for sharing your wizdom about this issue.

    /Frank

Hello, I had the same problem and found a solution, thought I would share in case it helps anyone. My combo box choices flyout menu was going off the form and I wasn't even able to scroll. After creating a new combo box within the data card I found what the issue was.  All you need to do is adjust the width property of the DataCardValue in the data card.  This is mine:
The default property for this  DataCardValue35 was
This is what I was seeing with that default value. It was cutting off some of my selections and wouldn't allow me to scroll down to them.

On my form I adjusted the width of that same datacardvalue to about 400, yours might be different.
This adjusted the flyout dropdown menu's location

    Hope this helps.
