Business rules only working for sysadmin

Hi

I have set up business rules of various types applied to various tables for two model-driven apps. Some rules have 'entity' as the scope, others 'all forms', some just one specific form. They all work perfectly for me as the sysadmin who created the rules. They don't work for any other users. The users have different security roles, all of which are based on the Basic User profile (so nothing unusual).

As I understand it, security rules shouldn't have any effect anyway. I've tried different browsers and clearing the cache.

The environment is on the Developer Plan.

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Adding Organization level access to all privileges for "Process" didn't help. Adding the custom entity to Model Driven App got it working.

This worked, by setting the Process level to Organisation on just Read and Append To. Thanks a lot!!

Still doesn't work for me! Gave Process entity and my custom entity ORG level permission (all Whole Green) to the custom security role that I created (used Copy Role to make a copy of Basic User). What am I missing here?

    Hello @Dartanian and @rampprakash !

I ran into the same issue myself and was lucky enough to find this post.

Based on my testing, Process has to be set to Organisation for both Read and Append To in order to resolve the issue.

    Best Regards,

    Charles

    Hi @Dartanian ,

Please check if you have given Read ORG level access to Custom/System entity for for which Business Rule is created.

Please mark my answer verified if this is helpful!

    Hello @Dartanian,

Its not that much depended here, when ever an admin created any user can access it. That's the main implementation here. Nothing Much 🙂

    You're very welcome 🙂

I'd like to understand the implications of changing this setting to org-level as I don't want to compromise security. Any ideas what Process does, or how I can find out?

Solved 🙂  I tried setting the whole row for Process to Organization (green). Now works.
