Tabbed section inside form

Hi,

Does anyone knows how to add tabbed section to the form of the same entity? or in other words, present a columns of the same entity using Tabbed Section. The reason for asking is very bad presentation of attributes in any of 1,2,3-columns section. I am hoping to display entity attributes in more compact way.

From what I can see, the tabbed section functionality was build to show details from other entities (via Quick View or Sub grid). Hypothetically, If I create number of quick views in the same entity - can I use those inside Tabbed Section created in main form?

    Hi @DariuszSzwabo

Within the sessions you will be able to include any type of field (attribute) to display.
Sessions are not only for displaying subgrid of related tables or displaying quick view forms.
Tabs are more at the TAB level that function as tabs.
What you can play with is the distribution of columns at tab level. Place 1, 2 or 3 columns in a session.

    Hi Jmanriquerios

When typing "sessions" I presume you mean section. No - sections have really bad layout, its awful. You just cant put more then 30 attributes inside your form using whatever number of columns - this always looks messy.

Why I would like to use tabs and not plain page with sections?:

    - I need tabbed view to have my data compressed in convenient way so that user is not overwhelmed with 100 attributes long page in 90's style.

    - "Plain page" is more difficult to navigate, bad in locating the piece of information you looking for,

    - Tabs have more organized structure,

As per this sentence "Tabs are more at the TAB level that function as tabs" - I'm not sure if I understand, would you elaborate?

    Hi @DariuszSzwabo

The tabs (TAB) at the end is to have several pages but at the end they have the same design.

Tabs are made up of sections and that is the way to organise them.

Another thing you can do is to put custom page and there if you are free at the form level to build it as you want, at the end a custom page is a Canvas App embedded in a Model Driven one.
