Hi all,

I'm following the next tutorial: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/add-editable-tables

However, 'ThisItem' operator is not recognized, so I cannot use it. It there any idea on that?

Many thanks!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Anonymous

Can you add some screen shots of what you are doing?

ThisItem is valid from within the context of a form or gallery. From your screen shot, it looks like you've added the text box outside of the form.

Therefore, add a card to Form1 and add your text box to that card. The textbox should then recognise the ThisItem keyword.

Thanks timl, but I think this tutorial doesn't mention adding a card: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/add-editable-tables

The screen shot contains a gallery, a text inside that gallery and a form. Am I missing something?

Can you confirm that the text input control is actually inside the gallery, as it looks from your screenshot that it isn't?

In the tree view (vista de árbol), the text input control should appear as a child item beneath your gallery control. If you're using the default names, I guess the name of your gallery would be Gallery1.

    Hi timl,

The text box is a child of the gallery.

Hello, @Anonymous , You have to Select the Text Box in order to use ThisItem method. You are selecting the Gallery as I can see.

    Hi Ahmed Salih,

Thanks for your reply. When I select the Text Box, 'Default' property is not displayed..

You can set the Value property of the text box. You should be able to reference the ThisItem keyword here.

    Many thanks guys,

So, is there a typo in the Power Apps tutorial? All that I had to do was to set the Value property.. however, the tutorial says that I have to set to Default..
