Hi All,
I have created a PowerApp which could upload files to sharepoint and then save a URL.I also created a button to download(URL).
it works great on my account
However, I found that new users couldn't upload or download because they dont have access to the sharepoint.
Access to everyone is not available because no one should access others' files unless he's the Line-manger of the file owner
Could I use a service account to upload and download?
Do you have any ideas?
Cheers
Hi @Anonymous ,
I will give some guidance on the direction to take here, but it going to get complex and you will need a good understanding of Power Automate. You can use the "Run only users' option in a Flow to utilise a different connector (different user) to interact with SharePoint. Writing a new file is probably a bit easier then sending back an existing item. To be honest it is easier to control "who sees what" in Power Apps by simply including the relevant fields on authorities required in the Library and locking down SharePoint - this blog of mine may assist you here.
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.
