Change solution (component) owner

Hi,

we have a managed solution by a third party provider. The user who imported and used the solution will leave our company, so we need to transfer it so someone else.

Is there any way to change the owner of the solution or all components within it?

I found this old post (section: 'Modifying Flow Owners and Run-Only Users') and created a similar flow to change the owner of a solution-aware flow, but the "Perform an unbound action" always throws an error "Flow does not exist" (see screenshots).

    @leo85

    First of all you need to be concerned about the below components in the solution;

    1.Process - workflows / flows owner need to be changed and this can be done manually by selecting the workflows deactivate and assign to the new user.

    https://fredrikengseth.medium.com/how-to-bulk-change-owner-of-workflows-and-power-automate-flows-using-advanced-find-in-dynamics-365-1c926b7cd593

    For flows you need also to make sure you change the connection references I have tried to do this in a bulk way rather I do it on each individual flow.

    2. If you have Plugins, you need to check if the steps are running under this user or other admin account and you can use the plugin registration tool to check the plugins in this solution.

    Hi @Mira_Ghaly ,

    thanks for the reply. That helped me to solve the issue.

    I could change the owner of the flows, environment variables, connection references and BPF via the Advanced Find in Dynamics 365.

    The canvas apps I could change with PowerShell, because it was not possible to change their owner via Advanced Find.

    Set-AdminPowerAppOwner -AppName '<App GUID>' -AppOwner '<Owner Object ID>' -EnvironmentName '<Environment GUID>'

    Best Regards
