Getting a dropdown in a text input in new form

Hi all, I am quite new to power apps so bear with me.

So I connected my form in power apps to a data source in dynamics 365 and everything seems to do well while I had the form on edit. But now for a table where I want to enter a new line of data to the form as a new form, the form is empty and for every text input I have to manually enter the numbers and names for each column. If there was a way where I can get a dropdown containing the potential search results for the text input I would be entering it would be so much faster as the data is already there for each column in the datasource, I just cannot access it.
I would appreciate so much for a solution on this matter. Thanks a ton!!

    hi @Hafizea

Let's remember 🙂 we cannot see your code or your UI, so just typing a paragraph to us, image you trying to figure out an app, with no code, no ui just words.

So pretend you are debugging for us.

    1. What is the issue?

    2. What Form are you talking about? Is this a form that you are using for both Edit and New? Are you putting the Form into New mode or still in edit mode?

    Show us the screen please.

    3. the form is empty and for every text input I have to manually enter the numbers and names for each column

again, show us a picture because I dont know of any reason a Form would lose its labels for the columns in the UI so not sure what this means.

More is more, you cannot overshare, but you can overcomplicate by just trying to use words 🙂

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

    Cheers

    hi @FLMike ,

My apologies, I will try to make it a little more clear.

So basically what I am trying to achieve is when I click on or type a few letters, say in the skidNo, it should show automatically show a like a dropdown of the potential results, very similar to how google searches work, and these potential results would be derived from a table with the data for the skidNo. But I do not know how to do it.

I am able to get the data when the form mode is in edit, but I need to submit new records which is why the form mode is new but then there is no data understandably.
