Is it possible to import Flow/PowerApps into solution

Is it possible to import an already Flow/PowerApps into a new solution?

We are planning to put some of the related Flows and PowerApps into a solution.

But don't know how to achieve it. Any ideas without recreating them from scratch?

Thanks,

Balaji

    Yes.  The Solution Manager does allow adding an existing PowerApp or Flow.

    See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/common-data-service/solutions-overview

    @monty-power-app I don't see documentation about solution manager in the linked URL?  is that the right one ?

    Are you working with a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solution using the classic solution explorer or a Common Data Service solution (available from Solutions on https://make.powerapps.com)?

    Per the documentation, there are limitations when working with PowerApps or Flows in solutions;

    • Canvas apps won't display in the classic solution explorer.
    • Button triggered flows are not available in solutions.
    • Canvas app triggered flows are not available in solutions.
    • Flows triggered from Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint and Excel are not available in solutions.

    [From https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/common-data-service/use-solution-explorer#known-limitations]

    The link below goes into detail on adding an existing component, ie PowerApp or Flow.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/common-data-service/use-solution-explorer#add-an-existing-component-to-a-solution

    Long story short, once you open the solution use the Add Existing feature to add existing Flows or Power Apps.  If you are still needing assistance, be sure to let us know if you are using the classic solution explorer and how your flow is triggered.

    @Anonymous , were you able to add your PowerApps and/or Flows to the solution?

    @monty-power-app Yes, I'm still not able to see my flows when I select the add existing.

    I currently use schedule, HTTP Request triggers. But I don't know why it is now showing up.

    And I did find this line - You cannot move non-solution-aware flows (flows not created in a solution) into a solution.

    in this documentation https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/overview-solution-flows

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    One workaround might be to create a new solution-aware Flow with the same trigger and copy/paste the steps from the non-solution aware Flow.  PowerApps Studio has a new Clipboard feature that would be useful.

    Demo of Clipboard feature;

    Good luck!

    This was a known feature gap that has since been addressed. You should see your flows within the add existing tab/outside solutions.

    None of this is working, unfortunately.  Stand-alone flows created by default in My Flows cannot be imported into solutions, at least the Sharepoint-based ones I'm using.  Clipboard works within the same flow, not across flows.  So the only way is to recreate the flows by hand.

    Sorry, but this seems to be still a feature gap. Yes, you can add a Flow from another solution or outside Solutions. But if you modify the source flow, this is also visible in the same Flow in the new Solution... This may be convenient/intended for some types of Flows, but sometimes you want a new copy of an existing flow just to tweak it for the requirements of the new Solution. With Import I would expect to be able to import a (Solution) Flow as a newly created Flow. Which does not seem to be possible to date.

    @caburk when will microsoft address the remaining issue described here; to be able to import a "non solution aware" flow into a solution. To recreate a large/complex flow is tedious.
