Hi All,

I am a Talent Acquisition professional, I want to build a tool which helps me in end to end recruiting process.

This includes Bulk hiring and lateral hiring.

It should cover candidates registering, interview stages, offer stage and joining / onboarding status.

It should also give me a dashboard view to see the hiring status department wise, location wise.

I also want to track my budget / cost involved in hiring each candidate.

Is it possible to do it in Power apps - also want to have excel as back end tool to capture the data.

Any response is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards

Can I use Power apps to build end to end recruitment tool

Yes, you can absolutely build a recruiting tool in Power Apps that covers all the functionalities you’ve mentioned! Power Apps is flexible enough to manage different stages of the recruitment process, and it can integrate well with Excel as the backend.

Here’s how you could approach this:

    1. Candidate Registration

    • Use a form in Power Apps for candidates to register, where they can submit their personal details, resume, and any other required information.
    • Store the data in an Excel sheet, which will act as your database for candidate information.

    2. Interview Stages

    • You can create different sections or statuses (e.g., Applied, Interview Scheduled, Interview Completed) that the recruiter can update as the candidate progresses through the interview process.
    • These stages can be stored in Excel, where you can have columns tracking each stage for every candidate.

    3. Offer Stage and Onboarding

    • You could add another section for the offer stage, tracking whether an offer has been made, accepted, or rejected, and then proceed to onboard the candidate.
    • Onboarding status (e.g., paperwork complete, joining date confirmed) can also be tracked in a similar way.

    4. Dashboard View

    • Power Apps supports Power BI integration, or you can create a simple dashboard directly in Power Apps. You can filter views based on department, location, or other criteria and display the status of hiring in a visual format.

    5. Budget and Cost Tracking

    • Include a section where you input costs associated with hiring (e.g., interview costs, relocation, etc.). Excel will capture and aggregate these costs.
    • Power Apps can calculate and display total costs per candidate or across the hiring process.

    6. Excel as Backend

    • Power Apps allows Excel to be used as a backend. You can connect your app to an Excel file stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, which will store all the information you collect.

    Additional Ideas:

    • Automations: You can add flows with Power Automate to send emails (e.g., interview invitations, offer letters) or reminders.
    • Security: Manage permissions to ensure that sensitive data, like candidate salaries or personal information, is securely managed.

This approach will give you an end-to-end tool for managing both bulk and lateral hiring processes. Let me know if you want more specific guidance or help with any particular part!

Can I use Power apps to build end to end recruitment tool
You can use Power Apps to build pretty much anything you like, could you do the above yes.

You could, but its going to be a big undertaking as there are layers upon layers of things you need to do that, in no matter what tool you built it, you don't realize  you need to do until you are building it.

But the answer to your question is Yes.

    Please mark as the answer.

If you need help building something like that, you really need to hire a contractor to help you as its way too much for us to build for you.
