hello power community

I am trying to test admin and other user in my app

So i created in my office e5 developer account a new user, in addition i have also power apps developer plan and i created a developer environment

So the user that i created for testing cannot see my developer environment so my app cannot be shared, but the strange thing is that power automate can see this environment, am i doing something wrong ? or its a bug? anyone encountered something like that where a basic user cannot see the environment?

Basic users can run apps that are shared with them using the url in the email when they are shared. But they don't have enough permissions to actually see the environment that the app is in. For that they need at least System Customizer (maker) role.

Thanks for your reply, so if i put system customizer for the user, he will be able to see the environment and the app shared correct?

hi shared the app again with my fictitious user and role as customizer
the user can access the app through the email, but still cant see the environment and cant see the app
But as i told you, user can see the environment when in power automate

Did you build the app in Teams? Teams environments are visible in Power automate but are not visible in regular Power apps. They are only visible when working in the Power apps client in Teams.

Nope i didnt build the app in teams
i just did an app in power apps, did a new solution and inside solution created new canvas app

Then I don't have any explanation. If they have the system customizer role in the environment they should be able to see the environment. Have they logged out and logged back in again to make sure they are getting the new role? That's the only other idea I can come up with.

One other thought. When you created the environment did you add a security group? If you did the user also needs to be a member of that group.

Hi Again, i logged in to the user account today and my environment is there, seems some refresh issue (it took few hrs i guess)
Thanks, so as i understood for the user to be able to see and use apps in an environment he should be as customiser? right?

System Customizer is the role that lets a user see the environment and create apps. Basic User will let them run apps from an environment using the link sent to them when it is shared. But they won't be able to see the environment itself, just run the app.
