Hello,

I'm building a ChatBot and I am going to publish it internally on an Intranet for my organisation. The bot will not ever be publicly available. Why cant I take FAQ's as a Topic Suggestion from my own resources within my organisation? I get error messages stating it cannot extract data from the specified https link - this makes no sense? I own and manage the Sharepoint page, why cant I extract data from my own Sharepoint page if I'm already building the ChatBot in Teams. I cannot publish internal data on a publicly accessible web page, obviously.

For example, you might be unable to extract content because the site you're referencing is down or it may be gated behind a user login, such as a SharePoint page.

    Hi @CJCappa ,

The problem is that the SharePoint page/document is not a public link, you need to have a user/password/MFA to access this information. In that case, the PVA bot is not capable to do it.

Please find below the requirements to import suggested topics:

    • The URLs must be secure (they must start with https://).
    • The URLs must be publicly available, that is, they can't need a user to log in.
    • For online files, we do not support file upload. You must provide the full URL to the location of the file, including the file extension, as in the example https://www.microsoft.com/thisisafile.pdf.
    • For online files, we currently support PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT files and 2-column formats in TSV, XLSX (first sheet only), and CSV. The file extension must be included in the URL.

May you need to upload this file temporarily to a public site, import it, then remove that document there. (~5 mins to import items)
