Dynamically generate lists

This is my first power app and I'm stuck already.  I'm trying to create a vehicle maintenance tracker.  The first screen is a list that allows users to add an item (new vehicle) or select an existing one.  If they select an existing one, They arrive at the vehicle detail page.  Everything works so far.  Now, I'd like to be able to add a new vehicle maintance record.  However, the list/data that this connects to needs to be created somewhere when the "add an item" option is selected on the first page.

I hope that makes sense.  Essentially, I want a list of lists with the sublists generated automatically when an item is added to the first list.  Seems pretty basic but I don't know how to get it done.

    Hi @gchubak ,

How many data sources are included in this app? What is the data source type? In your first paragraph, I assume that you are using a SharePoint list as data source, then you just need to create an auto-generated app using SharePoint list as data source. This app can be created from Home > Start from data.

But in your 2nd paragraph, it seems that you have a second list included. Can you please describe in detail about how you want to auto-generate an item in 2nd list when the items is added to 1st list?

    Regards,

    Mona
