Hi Newbie here.

I hope i explain this correctly.

I have a form that is all working the way I want it to, it populates data as I want it and it is saving correctly in my data source which is a microsoft list. My understanding is Microsoft lists is the same as Sharepoint Lists?

On the form it requires you to select a tutors name.

What I would like to do is on submitting the form, I want it to send a notification via Teams to the selected tutor. The notification will require the details of Student ID, Student First Name and Student Surname with a message saying 'has submitted their Timesheet and requires your approval' .

I would also like the link to the power app approval screen so the tutor can press it and go straight to approval.

Where you issue the Patch() command in your Submit action you can also specify other actions (like sending an email). Make sure that is really what you want as it can result in many many emails...

To achieve this after submission, you just need to set the OnSuccess property of the form as below:

MicrosoftTeams.CreateChat( ComboBox.Selected.Email, {topic:Form.LastSubmit.StudentID&Form.LastSubmit.Student_First_Name & Form.LastSubmit.Student_Surname"& "has submitted their Timesheet and requires your approval" } )
