Patching a SharePoint Picture Column

On the topic of Patching, does anyone know how, or if it is possible to patch a SharePoint column of type Picture? (Hyperlink or Picture) I can obviously save the photo taken in PA to a Library in SharePoint using FLOW, but it would be great if i could then somehow update the Picture column in a different list.

    Hi @schuess3 ,

Do you want to update pictures taken by camera to SharePoint list picture column?

I'm afraid it's not suppoeted to make this currently in PowerApps.

Picture column is a read-only column in PowerApps and you could only update existing pictures by using PowerApps.

The pictures taken by camera can only be updated via flow.

As an alternative way, you could update existing pictures to "hyperlink" field or Attachments field.

    1)"hyperlink" field

Here's a doc bout updating images to "hyperlink" field:

    2) Attachments field

Here's a doc about updating images to Attachments field:

After an afternoon of excruciating pain, I figured out how to work around this SharePoint + PowerApps limitation.

You will need to add a Flow to your sharepoint list that will run everytime an item is modified in your list.

Within this flow you will need to add a "Send HTTP Request to SharePoint" action with the following data:

    ScreenShot.png
You can find more info about this HTTP Request on: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Flow-Error-Send-HTTP-Request-to-SharePoint-to-Clear-out-a-Person/td-p/351112

Once you've added your picture hyperlink to an actual picture column, the PowerApps will be able to read this column properly and display your image.

    Good Luck!
