Hi,
I'm working on a chatbot and want to pull the user's email address for a couple functions. One is to avoid having to ask for an email address and avoid typos when collection the information. The second is possibly creating specific conditional branches depending what organization they are with.
I have seen a lot of how tos on how to get the information from users within my organization. Is there anyway to pull it from users outside of the organization?
Thanks!
Hi @robgeorgewordk,
How would that user outside your organization accessing the bot?
Anonymously? If so, than it would not be possible to retrieve those details without asking for it in the conversation.
Or are you using a different channel where they are logged on?
They would be logged in with their organizations single sign on. Someone in my organization was under the impression that we could pull information into PVA through that. I don't think it is.
If that's the case is it possible to pull info from the HTML or something from where they are accessing the bot to find out where they are coming from?
The main functionality they are looking for is being able to create a central bot for multiple organizations that has some topics and answers be dependent on what organization they are accessing the bot from.
