We have shared a power app with guest users of our Azure AD. These users are able to open the app but when they try to use a people picker in the app, they get the following error

Office365Users.SearchUserV2 failed: { "status": 403, "message': "Insufficient privileges to complete the operation.

Please let me know how we could resolve this.

    Hello @prathyoo

The error meant the user didn't have the privilege to read your Azure AD. This is a security setting in place to protect users. But if you really need it to work, here are some options you can try:

Option A: Allow guests to view your active directory. This is a big NO NO if your guests are transient and you should put agreements in place to ensure that integrity is observed by guest parties.

Have you performed the steps in this guide yet?

If yes, then move to this instruction here where you can allow guests to have the same access as your members:

Option B. The longer way but your security is still intact.

Change that People Picker to a separate SP list that will hold a directory of people in your organization. A list that can contain a Name and Email Address column. To maintain this SP list, use PowerAutomate to regularly check your directory (1 day run) and add new people or remove old people from the SharePoint list.

@cha_cha Thanks for the reply. Regarding Option A we have to check with our security team. Regarding Option B, we have around 400 thousand user records (internal and guests) in our account. Not sure if that would cause performance issues.
