Multiple values to one Sharepoint column

Hello Hello,

I need some help with what (to me) seems like a bit more of a complicated function.

I have a column in a Sharepoint list that is for "vehicle(s) involved". Right now it is a single-line column, therefore it appears in my Powerapp as such.

I'm quite new to this, and would really like if someone could explain, in simple terms but great detail, what I need to do to be able to add multiple values to that item. I just need someone to be able to add one or more vehicles to that item, it appear in the one column in the Sharepoint list, and appear properly in the app as well.

Anyone care to walk me through this?  Again- I will require step by step instructions! Thank you!!

    Hi @TorreyFalconer

If the vehicles involved is available as part of another list ( you have the list of item) - then in sharepoint just create a lookup column (multi select) to the vehicle list

The form will then automatically handle your need

    Reza Dorrani

    @RezaDorrani

I don't know what you mean by "part of another list". I have one Sharepoint list, where there is a single column titled "Vehicle(s) involved" and is currently set to "single-line text". What should I change in the Sharepoint list?

    Hi @TorreyFalconer

when you want users to enter vehicle(s) involved - is there a defined list of vehicles you want them to choose from or just give them the ability to randomly eneter muliple values?

    Hi @TorreyFalconer ,

Do you mean you want to enter mutiple values to the SP list column?

To do that, you need a multiple lines of Text column, so that the value will show up in line.

    1. Create a new column which type is Multiple lines of text in SP list.

    2. Modify the Textinput control's Model from Single line to Multiline at the right properties bar in powerapps.

Please try the workaround above, and check if your issue is fixed.

    Best regards,

    Sik

Is it possible to duplicate the list item (row) for the additional entries, without creating a new list item separately?

    Hi @RezaDorrani ,
What if we have defined list and user wants to select from combo box and update multiple values in list?

That is a great solution!  Exactly what I needed.

    Thanks for your response!

What if I want to select the same vehicle multiple times? Because right now as soon as I select one item from my vehicle list it disappears from the options. Would it somehow be possible to select the same vehicle entry twice?

    Thank you!!
