Canvas - browser app resizing issue

Im using a Canvas app, set at 16:9, 1366x768 .

For some reason the browser continually is stretching the app to fit the window and not maintaining the 16:9 size which is 1366x768 pixels. This is causing everything to look much larger than it actually is.

I have attached our app (i put a box around the design for work purposes), but as you can see in the app the sometimes it shows up at its exact size, which is 1366x768. Other times its stretching the app to a wider size which makes it everything appear larger and stretched.

It is very weird because I thought the size would be fixed. The reason I am asking about this is beacuse I am trying to determine what size to build my app (especially vertical height) at to support most modern screens as our users access on a desktop browser.

Our engineer set the design at 16:9 but that size at 1366x768 on the vertical height is quite small for the browser. And since PowerApps seems to function more like an iframe it is making the vertical height of the app very short and you are scrolling inside the page a lot. When it stretches the app to the full width it makes the alignment of everything look bloated and weird.

My computer monitor on Win 10 is 1920x1080.

I am seeing this stetching issue across Chrome, IE, Edge.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Can you share the screen shot of 'Screen size + Orientation' setting in File- APP settings.

Please make sure 'Scale to fit' and 'Lock aspect ratio' settings are toggled on, if you want your app to maintain 16:9 ratio.

For more reference, please check the following article: Change screen size and orientation
