Error when using the search bar to search value

Hello,

I have created a very simple based form the default format as shown in the picture from an excel file located in a SharePoint folder. I can view my data, I can edit it and delete and everything. However when I try to use the search function it shows an error that says : Error when trying to retrieve data from network (see second picture below).

This is the formulas I use in the Gallery in "items":
Search([@Table1], SearchInput1.Text, 'DUNS Elementary Name ', 'DUNS Elementary Code','Elementary Linked Category', 'Supplier Classification')

Could anyone know the reason for that ? I am suspecting some network security reason. But at the same time I can access the data and edit with no issue. Only when I try to display a specific item based on a search it doesn't work.

Thank you.

Jaya

    Hi,

You need to put quotes around your table columns. Your Search formula should look like that (based on your picture):

Search(<CollectionToSearchIn>, <textInputControlName>.Value, 'DUNS Ultimate Code', 'DUNS Ultimate Classification', 'DUNS Ultimate Name')

    I hope it helps!

    Thanks @GabGadou and @StretchFredrik.

Here is the formula I used for the items in my gallery :

Search([@Table1], SearchInput1.Text, 'DUNS Elementary Name ', 'DUNS Elementary Code','Elementary Linked Category', 'Supplier Classification')

Exactly! Since we didn't have your controls name, we could not use the correct names in the formula but good job! You make it work!

    Greetings @JL-10040724-0!

I've seen that you want to sort based on several columns... I just have a quick question... Does it work when you try to search a single column? And if you try to search each individual column separately does it work? It seems that there's something wrong in the formula, obviously but I'd like to know if the error happens in all searches, or if it just happens with a specific column.

If we can narrow down the problem, we might find an easy solution for this!

I have updated in the original the post with the formula I use for my search function.

Also I have tried to limit it with one column search only and I still get the same error.

Also, I try creating in separate page a display form connected another data table and use a lookup to display a specific item based on a specific value, I get exactly the same error (see image below).

PS: I also try the lookup using a number for the code instead of a string as it shows here. Same error all the time.

    Hi there @JL-10040724-0!

Sorry for the late response, I was out of the office for a few days... Now then, that's weird, what datasource are you using? And besides that, try this:
    LookUp(Table3,'DUNS Ultimate Code' = "656239902").'DUNS Ultimate Name'

I am using data from excel which are located in my OneDrive for Business. I use the connector "Excel Online (Business)". The excel files are simple data table with either text or number as data type.

Again, I can view my data, edit, delete or even add new but cannot use Search, LookUp, or Filter (all three functions give me the same error).

I tried your formulas and it doesn't work, makes an error on the last part "DUNS Ultimate name".
