Customised form in lists not showing in mobile app?

Hi

This might still be an issue but I have a list (in SP) with a customised form using PAapps which works on the desktop browser but not in the iOS mobile app where it shows a generic uncustomised or formatted form.

Using a convoluted method I'm able to open the list and form in a browser (formatting not great as doesn't fit to page but that problem is pretty low priority).

Questions

  1. what is the best way to get this form to work for mobile users?
    • Is it to force when users click a link to the list that the list only opens in a browser?
    • Generating a complete app not just customised form?
    • creating different canvas sizes and forcing mobile users to a particular canvas for that sort of device (i assume this is possible as the MS list app defaults to the standard 'new or edit' item form rather than just falling over)?
  2. How do I achieve that using the crayons and 3 word per page explanation as I'm working out PA as i go and things which will seem obvious to some people I will not even heard off.

TIA

    Hi @RiKx ,

Based on my test, I can open a customized form of a list on SharePoint mobile App with no problem. My iOS version is 16.0.1 and SharePoint mobile App version is 4.51.4. But Microsoft Lists mobile App doesn't support customized forms.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jeffer

thx for the reply. So, the solution is to instruct users not to use the list mobile app but the SharePoint one?

    Hi @RiKx ,

    Yes, I think so.

Ok. That's disappointing as the SP mobile app is not a great UX for list navigation.

    Cheers.

    This might work for some.

From desktop Sharepoint, go into the list's settings and select Form Settings.  From here select the "See versions and usage" link under "Use a Custom form...".

When you get there you will see a Mobile QR code.  Scan that and see.  I've been having some good success with it so far.  Just need to create a 'shortcut' of some kind.

    Hope it helps someone.

    Cheers,
    Ox

PS...it opens in PowerApps directly so not sure what, if any, licensing issues might exist.
